Using remote interpreting during travel disruption

We are very aware that, in the coming weeks, strikes are taking place that will impact public transport across the country.

With this in mind, we want to make sure our clients are aware that we are recommending using our video and telephone interpreting services, instead of face-to-face interpreting appointments, on the upcoming strike dates.

These remote services are available whenever you need, all year round, and always deliver a fantastic alternative to a face-to-face appointment.

Rail Strike Dates

  • Tuesday 13th December
  • Wednesday 14th December
  • Friday 16th December
  • Saturday 17th December
  • Saturday 24th December (beginning at 6pm but may disrupt services earlier in the day)
  • Sunday 25th December (non-working day)
  • Monday 26th December
  • Tuesday 27th December (ends at 6am on the 27th, however disruptions may continue)
  • Tuesday 3rd January
  • Wednesday 4th January
  • Friday 6th January
  • Saturday 7th January

The reality of strike action means that either you, or your booked interpreter, may be disrupted from attending an appointment in person if they rely on public transport.

Our recommendation is that, if a booking is required on one of these dates, you choose to conduct this via video or telephone instead. This will help you ensure any disruptions are kept to a minimum.

If your booking must be conducted in person, we would ask you to consider an alternative date. If this is also not possible, then our team will work tirelessly to facilitate your booking request, however we ask you to be mindful that fulfilling your booking request may not be possible due to interpreter availability.
